Photograph the Kings of the Arctic in Canada’s Wild North

Join professional wildlife photographer Joe Desjardins for an unforgettable photographic expedition to Churchill, Manitoba—widely regarded as the Polar Bear Capital of the World. This workshop is designed for photographers who want more than just a glimpse of these incredible animals. You'll have the chance to capture polar bears in their natural habitat as they roam the vast, frozen tundra, waiting for Hudson Bay to freeze over.
Using custom-built tundra vehicles for safe and optimal viewing, we’ll venture into the bears’ territory during the peak season for sightings and activity. Every day offers the potential for powerful wildlife encounters—whether it’s a solitary bear silhouetted against a snow-swept horizon or curious cubs trailing their mother across the ice.
Throughout the workshop, Joe will offer personalized instruction on composition, exposure, and storytelling in challenging conditions, ensuring you leave with not just images—but photographs that speak. This is more than just a trip; it's a deep dive into the art and craft of northern wildlife photography, grounded in respect for the land and the animals who call it home.

Guided photography in one of the world’s most unique wildlife environments
